Launched in 2001, the .NAME generic extension is the sole TLD meant for personal web pages only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other designations people are famous by. At the beginning, only third-level registrations were permitted, so if you desired to secure john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already acquired third-level domain names remained operational.

Through our company, you can purchase your .NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to correct the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our company if you have its EPP transfer authorization key from the present registration provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no particular terms on who can grab a dot NAME domain, but in order to preserve the goal behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry organization may verify who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
