Established in 1987, Italy’s dot IT country-code TLD is really popular both within the country and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for constructing imaginative and appealing domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to construct an easy-to-remember domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to come back to your website or to share it with associates and fellows. The extension can also be used for a website, which is connected to the information technology sector since IT is an abbreviation, which is used around the globe.

Given that dot IT domains are not registered directly by IT-NIC, the Registry organization that supervises this top-level extension, such a domain can be obtained through a third-party registration provider, such as ours. We will manage the registration process for you and take care of submitting your application to the Registry. You can grab a dot IT domain for no more than one year at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to us and we will renew it once the transfer has been finished. The sole limitation is that the person registering such a domain must be located in a member state of the European Union.

Since there are existing Second-Level Domains that include names of various areas and localities in Italy reserved for local third-level registrations, new names that consist of geographical regions of any kind are not allowed on any level to avoid any future confusion. We do not offer such third-level domains, though, given that they can be registered only by locals.
