An e-mail alias is actually an e-mail that shares a mailbox with a completely different email address. For instance, you can have info@domain.com plus support@domain.com and e-mails sent to either one of them will be received in one and the same mailbox. This feature will make it easier and more convenient to handle various e-mail addresses because you will have to log in to only one mailbox if you work with webmail or set up a single address in an email application on your PC. When you create an alias, you won't just have the ability to get messages, but you will also be able to send out email messages from the different addresses and they will share the Outbox, so you will have all communication in one location. Implementing aliases is a replacement for working with various email addresses for various purposes or forwarding a single e mail address to another one in order to handle the e-mails of both in one location.
